Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Lead UI/UX Designer 4. The work will be done in a hybrid setting (2–3 days onsite) based on the customer’s preference, with locations including Broomfield, CO (preferred), or Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX, or Chicago, IL. This is a long-term position (12 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $77/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The UI/UX Designer 4 will lead the design and delivery of digital solutions from concept to production using modern user-centered design methodologies. This role focuses on creating intuitive and high-quality user experiences through wireframes, prototypes, and research-driven insights while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and design teams. In addition to hands-on design work, this position will play a key role in design operations by helping establish and maintain design standards, templates, and systems. The designer will advocate for user needs while balancing business objectives and technical constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Apply UX design processes including wireframes, prototypes, personas, and user journey mapping to deliver end-to-end digital solutions
• Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for user-centered design decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and research to define features and deliver high-quality user experiences
• Contribute to design operations by maintaining templates, components, and design systems (“source of truth”)
• Partner with program management to enforce design standards and improve team processes while mentoring and upskilling team members
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (8+ years in UX design or 12+ years total relevant experience)
• Strong expertise in Figma, including advanced component creation and design systems
• Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and creating high- and low-fidelity designs
• Ability to create information architecture flows and user journey maps
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
• Portfolio required demonstrating UX design work
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing enterprise or B2B applications
• Experience with native mobile applications and mobile-first design
• Familiarity with industries such as equipment management, logistics, mapping, oil & gas, or fintech
• Experience working with distributed/global teams
• UX certification (e.g., HFI, General Assembly)
