About the Role The Client Manager maximizes revenues from sales of the organization’s products and/or services through a base of reseller partners in specific assigned channels and vertical markets. The role involves locating, evaluating and recruiting potential channel partners, supporting partners throughout the sales process, and achieving revenue targets through marketing, advertising, sales promotions and training.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand business opportunities.
Building and maintaining enduring, long‑term client relationships through regular communication and effective account management practices.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products or services to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Identifying and pursuing opportunities for upselling or cross‑selling additional products or services to existing clients.
Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks or opportunities within assigned accounts.
Providing leadership and guidance to junior account management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Proven track record of successfully managing large key accounts in a similar professional role.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in developing and executing strategic account plans to drive business growth and achieve targets.
Deep understanding of market dynamics, client needs and industry trends within the account management function.
Capability to provide leadership and mentorship to junior account management professionals.
Relevant background in business, marketing or related field.
Solid grasp of financial principles and ability to analyze sales data and market trends effectively.
Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools to manage client accounts efficiently.
Benefits & Compensation Primary location base pay range (home based, Ohio): $46,700 – $78,000. Total target cash range: $71,900 – $120,000. Pay mix between base and variable pay varies by sales role. Geographical differentials may apply to better reflect local market rates.
