
Mortgage Loan Closer - Mortgage Lending

As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will be at the heart of finalizing the mortgage loan process, ensuring that all aspects of the loan transactions are meticulously reviewed and executed. This pivotal position demands a thorough understanding of loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and exceptional attention to detail. Your expertise will directly impact on the successful closing of mortgages, aiding borrowers in their journey toward homeownership.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Review loan files to ensure completeness and accuracy of closing documents.
Coordinate closing schedules with borrowers, lenders, title companies, and attorneys.
Prepare and audit closing instructions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues within closing documents.
Calculate final closing costs and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds.
Ensure all closing documents meet state and federal regulations.
Obtain and review title insurance policies.
Prepare final loan documents.
Ensure all post-closing documents are filed and stored correctly.
Communicate effectively with all parties to provide updates and respond to inquiries.
Other duties that may relate to post closing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or GED required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience in the mortgage industry. Two years’ experience in mortgage closing or a related field is preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and compliance requirements.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with Encompass mortgage LOS is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high volumes of work accurately and efficiently.
WORKING CONDITIONS Typical office environment.
