Our wine focused client is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to lead its Southern U.S. region. This role offers the chance to take real ownership of a multi-state territory, work with a focused portfolio of priority brands, and have a meaningful impact on growth without the layers and bureaucracy of a large corporate environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building brands market by market, managing distributor relationships, and operating with autonomy. The business has a strong foundation and significant scale, yet maintains an entrepreneurial mindset and values initiative, integrity, and accountability.

What you’ll do

Own sales performance across the Southern region, managing approximately 9 active markets while building out new distribution in southern states

Lead distributor management, including growing existing partners and identifying new distribution opportunities

Drive go-to-market strategy for a focused portfolio of priority wine brands

Build target account lists and work closely with off-premise chains and key accounts

Develop and execute pricing, programming, and sales strategies in a data-light environment

Conduct distributor ride‑withs, market work, and key account calls

Track performance, budgets, and execution using internal tools and Excel

Hold distributors accountable through regular reviews and performance tracking

Travel 30 to 50 percent depending on the season

Territory Includes: TX, GA, FL, NC, SC, OK, KS, MO, AR, LA, MS, AL, KY, TN

Who they're looking for

5+ years of sales experience within wine or spirits , with multi-state exposure

Proven distributor management and business development experience

Comfortable working with small to mid-sized distributors and understanding how they operate

Self‑motivated with strong business acumen, including pricing and margin awareness or the ability to learn quickly

Polished, confident communicator who can work independently

Willingness to travel and manage a large, independent territory

Ideally based in Texas, Florida, or Georgia

Compensation

Base salary starting at $125,000 + up to 20% bonus
