Job Summary
Acrisure is seeking a Placement Specialist to manage and execute key components of new business and renewal processes for insurance accounts. The role includes overseeing timelines, conducting exposure analysis, preparing quote specifications, negotiating coverage terms, and presenting comprehensive proposals to clients. Responsibilities
Timeline & Process Management: Maintain timelines and processes during new business and renewal cycles, including exposure analysis, quote specifications, and negotiation of coverage offers. Communication: Effectively communicate within the team environment and with market partners. Policy Review & Recommendations: Review insurance policies and contracts and make improvement recommendations. Submission Preparation: Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions, including specifications, Acord applications, loss summaries, prospect profiles and exposure schedules. Data Analysis: Analyze Excel spreadsheets of prospect exposure and loss data; develop financial models as needed. Market Relationships: Maintain relationships with insurance companies and wholesalers. Confidentiality: Handle confidential information appropriately. Carrier Systems and Rating: Utilize carrier systems to support quoting and proposal development. Licensing Compliance: Maintain all required licensing and continuing education. Professional Development: Attend seminars, carrier events and educational activities to improve expertise. Coverage Analysis & Strategy: Perform coverage gap analysis and provide tailored recommendations. Project Work: Work independently and with team on special and ongoing projects. Risk Resource Engagement: Identify opportunities to engage risk resources for specialized expertise. Requirements
Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and accept directions. Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Word. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. Attention to detail and document accuracy. Experience with broker/agent, marketing large middle market accounts to carriers. Strong knowledge of basic insurance coverages. Proficiency in creating proposal presentation documents. Education and Experience
3-5 years of relevant insurance experience, emphasis on middle to large market placements. Must currently hold a Property & Casualty license. Experience with Epic is a plus. College degree preferred. Pursuit of professional designation (CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU) preferred. Benefits and Perks
