Your role will include, but not be limited to: managing all aspects of the client and advisory team to optimize the wealth management goals of the client/family; including planning, scheduling, projections, and billing; review and sign tax returns for individual or trust tax clients for accuracy and identification of tax saving opportunities and tax exposures; including federal, foreign, state and local tax returns, calculating quarterly estimated payments and extensions, responses to tax notices, research, and drafting client memorandums; involvement in estate planning and wealth transfer projects; supervising and training of staff and interns assigned to these engagements; and demonstrating ownership over the status of all assigned projects to ensure all client delivery and statutory filing deadlines are met. The qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or Bar License required; 10+ years of recent tax compliance experience is required; experience in public accounting is preferred; experience with high net worth individuals, S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and private foundations is required with the emphasis on high net worth individuals; sophisticated knowledge of fiduciary and estate tax planning and compliance; demonstrated leadership skills within an organization; and experience with routine accounting assistance is preferred but not required. Client travel throughout the region, with some overnight stays may be required. Additionally, there are opportunities for overnight travel to attend firm wide trainings and events. This position has the opportunity for flexible scheduling around peak times of the year including opportunities for some of the required hours to be performed remotely.
