
Leasing Professional - Mosaic Apartments

Job Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating the community’s marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals. The role involves managing all leasing activities for new residents, ensuring resident satisfaction throughout the lease term, and securing lease renewals.
Responsibilities
Perform all sales and leasing activities to meet revenue and occupancy targets, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting community tours, displaying apartments, and processing applications.
Screen applicants through credit checks, criminal background checks, and analytics, and prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages.
Ensure apartments are move‑in ready by inspecting units before residents arrive and coordinating maintenance as needed.
Track market conditions and competitor activity to adjust marketing and leasing strategies, including short‑ and long‑term plans, concessions, specials, and other occupancy programs.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online campaigns using tools like Craigslist, Facebook, and email.
Use property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to record availability, traffic, leasing activity, and resident data.
Maintain show‑unit and leasing office quality by inspecting, merchandising, and ensuring a physically appealing presentation.
Follow up with prospects and new residents to confirm satisfaction, sending thank‑you emails, notes, or making phone calls as needed.
Support the lease renewal program by preparing renewal letters, contacting residents before move‑out deadlines, and ensuring timely execution of renewal documents.
Respond promptly and courteously to resident and client/owner concerns, resolving issues or escalating appropriately.
Qualifications
1–2 years of related leasing or property management experience.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience with leasing software (OneSite, Yardi) preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Licenses & Certifications
All state and local licensing requirements must be met.
Must hold a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs with assistance.
Travel to assist other properties, attend training, or hold business meetings as required.
Work flexible hours, including calls during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation The hourly rate for this position is $22.12 – $24.96 (San Jose). The role is commission/bonus eligible, with monthly new‑lease commissions and a quarterly bonus. Additional bonuses may be available for corporate or onsite positions per company programs.
