Department Loan Operations
Hours of Operation Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
General Job Summary This position will process, prepare and review closing documents for consumer and small business loan applications. Provide support to internal and external customers.
Organizational Duties And Responsibilities
Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Create a WOW customer experience for every customer in every interaction—via telephone or email
Meet established goals of quality, efficiency, and accuracy by assisting customers with questions and/or concerns on all loan accounts and services
Recommend and educate customers on bank policies, procedures and services related to Loan Accounts
Perform operational tasks including distribution of account maintenance and product support information to appropriate areas, maintenance of customer files and documentation
Answer phone calls and emails from internal and external clients as related to Loans SYB Services
Process Block/TMS work, Payments and Proof Tickets
Perform necessary Maintenance with appropriate approvals to Loans
Work reports as needed (Non‑Use Fee, Non‑Post, Escrows, etc.)
Investor accounting and reporting of all consumer real estate loans serviced by SYB
Processing payments, rate changes and tranches related to Business Loans, Leases, Participations, Syndications, SBA and SWAP transactions
Processing of Insurance claims, flood, requests for re‑amortization and removal of PMI and/or escrow as well as other daily paperwork received
Processing and balancing of Escrow (Insurance, claims, flood, taxes, PMI, etc.)
Monthly delinquency reporting of consumer mortgage loans to upper management and outside agencies (FHA, VA, FHLMC, FNMA, PMI companies, etc.) and all tasks associated with filing of claims for any federally or privately insured mortgage loan
Process requests related to Credit bureau reporting, inquiries and disputes of consumer loans to ensure compliance with federal regulations
Other general clerical duties. Provide highest level of quality service. Significant customer contact with internal and external customers
Other Functions
Assist any personnel as needed
Work closely with all Loan Operations staff
Be able to make decisions within limits set within the Loan Operations Department
Minimum Job Requirements Education: Completion of four years of high school or equivalent required, some college/degree preferred.
Experience: Three years loan experience required.
Specific Skills
General banking specific to loan processing is required
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customer, co‑workers and management
High level of organization and attention to accuracy and detail is required
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
Specialized Knowledge of Premier Navigator preferred.
