Data Entry Specialist
The International Institute of New England (IINE) is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian relief, education, skills training, job placement, family reunification and pathways to citizenship for 2,000 immigrants and refugees each year. We work in Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire. IINE is the oldest and second largest resettlement agency in the region and has the largest Central American family reunification program in Greater Boston. More than 500 refugees and immigrants enroll in our education programs annually, and each year we connect hundreds of new Americans to jobs in New England companies. Reports to: Program Administrator Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time Duration: Temporary position ending September 30, 2026 Overview The Data Entry Specialist supports the Programs team in case management and employment programming by performing critical data entry and record keeping functions for IINE clients. The position will be responsible for data entry, data tracking, and file up-keeping. The objective of the program is to enroll clients in IINE programming. Responsibilities Assist with data entry and integration within case management database systems. Complete data entry for clients during and after intake. Ensure data is accurate, completing regular data entry quality assurance. Ensure data systems are matching and up to date. Support record keeping and organization of client folders. Upload and support SharePoint record keeping and organization of client folders. Attend regularly scheduled meetings and periodic training sessions. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor. Required Skills/Abilities Strong Excel skills required. Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and effective communicator. Ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in additional languages strongly preferred, particularly Haitian Creole, French, or Spanish. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Human Services, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of related experience in data entry and administration. Experience working with immigrant populations preferred. Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, and asylees. Work Environment Conditions Frequent interruptions from employees and clients- must have ability to multi-task. Exposure to bright and overhead office lighting Use of office technology such as laptops, printers, mail machines, and other in-office equipment Travel to other IINE sites for all staff trainings seldomly Physical Demands Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling materials (boxes, equipment) of 50 pounds or more. Continuous sitting (or standing) at a desk for long periods of time. Occasional driving to and from IINE offices as needed.
