Job Summary/Description: WCJB TV20 News seeks a talented and energetic meteorologist/journalist to join our award‑winning team. We are looking for a qualified Meteorologist who can prepare and deliver weather forecasts and weather information, as well as report as an MMJ for our news segments on WCJB TV20.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Analyze weather data and prepare detailed forecasts
Prepare graphics to support the weather presentation
Conversational on‑air presentation
Flexible schedule for severe weather scenarios
Report stories for our news segments as an MMJ
Post content to the website and station social media platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in meteorology
Prior experience as a broadcast meteorologist (amount will vary depending on specific position)
Strong on‑air communication skills
Ability to work as part of an on‑air weather team and part of a news team
Ability to be creative with graphic design and presentation
