The Securities Lending Operations team is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant execution of securities lending activities across Robinhood Securities. The team maintains the integrity of books and records, supports regulatory obligations, and partners closely with trading, compliance, and technology teams to ensure operational accuracy and risk mitigation. You will help strengthen a team that plays a critical role in maintaining market stability and client trust!
As a Securities Lending Operations Lead, you will oversee daily operations while actively contributing to processing workflows and issue resolution. You will guide the team’s adherence to regulatory requirements such as Reg SHO Rule 204 and SEC Rule 15c3-3, while ensuring accurate reconciliation of positions and cash balances. This role serves as a key escalation point, requiring strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple business areas. You will also support system improvements and operational initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and risk controls!
This role is based in our Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Denver, CO, or Lake Mary, FL office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, including Reg SHO Rule 204 and SEC Rule 15c3-3
Oversee daily securities lending operations, including reconciliations of cash breaks and position differences
Serve as an escalation point for operational issues, supporting resolution of trading, recalls, and buy-ins
Coordinate with compliance, trading, and business teams to ensure accurate reporting, audits, and regulatory responses
Partner with internal and vendor technology teams to maintain system accuracy and support operational improvements
What you bring
You have 5+ years of experience in securities lending operations, buy-ins, or a related field
You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and can assess issues and implement process improvements
You communicate clearly and build effective working relationships across teams
You are comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple priorities
You hold a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent practical experience; FINRA Series 24 (or ability to obtain within 90 days) is required

$110,500 - $130,000 USD

$96,900 - $114,000 USD

$85,850 - $101,000 USD
