Join ERM’s Private Markets ESG & Impact Value Creation team as a Consultant or Senior Consultant, where you will engage with private equity and infrastructure investors to harness sustainability as a driver of growth. In this role, you will be at the intersection of strategy, finance, and sustainability, influencing C-suite decisions and fostering impactful ESG initiatives across global portfolios. The position offers a strategic platform to enhance your expertise in market analysis and growth strategy within the sustainability sector. Private market investors increasingly rely on ESG strategies to bolster value and fortify competitive standing. As a Senior Consultant, you will shape these strategies, helping clients translate sustainability insights into concrete commercial outcomes. You will be pivotal in advising on investment decisions, setting operational priorities, and steering long-term business strategies across diverse sectors. Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of ESG and impact strategies that deliver competitive advantage and measurable value. Conduct market assessments to identify sustainability trends, customer dynamics, and emerging opportunities. Create pricing strategies aligned with ESG value propositions to strengthen market positioning. Build and analyze financial models to quantify the revenue and profitability impact of ESG initiatives. Identify both top- and bottom-line growth opportunities connected to sustainability. Partner with private equity investment teams to embed ESG into business strategy. Develop and deliver presentations translating complex ESG insights into strategic recommendations. Work with ERM’s global network of experts to deliver integrated solutions. Provide coaching and support to junior consultants, fostering collaboration and team performance. Strengthen relationships with clients through excellent service delivery and thought leadership. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or related field; or equivalent experience. 3+ years in top-tier strategy consulting with a focus on strategy development, market analysis, and financial modeling. Strong PowerPoint storytelling and presentation development. Excel modeling capability (advanced is a plus). Experience designing and executing strategic initiatives that drive value. Understanding of private equity and/or infrastructure investing. Familiarity with ESG and sustainability concepts and their financial implications. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data. Experience in technology, healthcare, infrastructure, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, business services, or manufacturing. Proactive, adaptable, results-driven, collaborative, and passionate about sustainability. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Benefits
