Technical Sales Representative

EPC Space LLC., Andover, MA, United States

Andover, MA (or remote/hybrid with travel; open to strong candidates)

State:

MA

Country:

US

About EPC Space EPC Space is a joint venture between Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) and VPT, Inc. (a HEICO company). We specialize in designing and manufacturing radiation-hardened (Rad Hard) gallium nitride (GaN) power transistors, ICs, and modules for satellite, deep space, and other harsh-environment applications.

Our enhancement-mode GaN devices deliver superior efficiency, smaller size, lighter weight, and better radiation performance compared to traditional silicon MOSFETs. They power critical space systems including DC-DC converters, motor drives, LIDAR, and ion thrusters. Join us in bringing revolutionary GaN technology to the next generation of space missions.

Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Technical Sales Representative to support the growth of our Rad Hard GaN product portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional with 2–3 years of experience who is passionate about technology sales and eager to work at the intersection of engineering and business in the aerospace and space industry.

In this role, you will engage directly with engineers and decision-makers at satellite manufacturers, space agencies, defense contractors, and high-reliability system integrators. You will learn to translate complex technical advantages of GaN into customer value, support design‑in activities, and contribute to revenue growth in a fast‑evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities with target customers in the space, satellite, and high‑reliability electronics sectors.

Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application support to explain the benefits of radiation‑hardened GaN FETs and ICs versus traditional silicon solutions.

Collaborate with customers’ engineering teams to understand system requirements and recommend optimal EPC Space solutions.

Support the full sales cycle: lead generation, technical proposals, design‑in support, quoting, and closing orders.

Work closely with internal applications engineering, product management, and marketing teams to provide accurate technical responses and develop winning proposals.

Maintain accurate records in our CRM system and provide regular pipeline and forecast updates.

Build long‑term customer relationships and gather voice‑of‑customer feedback to influence product roadmaps.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Electronics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

Strong technical aptitude and genuine interest in power electronics, semiconductors, or space technology.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills — ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Self‑motivated with a proactive, customer‑focused mindset and strong organizational skills.

Willingness to travel 50% as needed for customer meetings and industry events.

Preferred (nice‑to‑have for 2–3 years experience candidates)

1–3 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, inside sales, or a customer‑facing technical role (semiconductors, power electronics, aerospace, or electronics components preferred).

Basic understanding of power conversion, MOSFETs/FETs, DC‑DC converters, or radiation effects in electronics.

Prior exposure to the aerospace, defense, or space industry is a plus.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary with performance‑based commission or bonus structure.

Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Opportunity to work with cutting‑edge radiation‑hardened GaN technology that is enabling the future of space exploration.

Hands‑on training and mentorship from experienced sales and engineering leaders.

Career growth potential in a growing company at the forefront of GaN adoption in space.

Collaborative, innovative work environment focused on high‑reliability solutions for mission‑critical applications.
