Innovative Financial Group (IFG) is seeking a Product Owner – Data & AI to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise data and artificial intelligence capabilities. This role will be responsible for identifying internal and external data sources, normalizing and integrating data for downstream usage, and owning the data platform that powers business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven insights across IFG.
The Product Owner will work closely with data engineering, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders to build scalable data products, accelerate insight delivery, and enable faster data adoption across the organization. This role will thrive in an evolving data landscape, building solutions that support data-informed decision‑making for leadership and operational teams.
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of variable factors.
Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & Platform Ownership
Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog for enterprise data and AI platforms.
Define and execute the vision for IFG’s data ecosystem, including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, analytics, and AI enablement.
Identify and evaluate internal and external data sources to support operational reporting, business analytics, and advanced AI use cases.
Ensure data is normalized, standardized, and structured to support downstream applications and analytics.
Data Engineering & Architecture Collaboration
Partner with data engineers and architects to design and deliver scalable data pipelines, data models, and cloud‑based data architectures.
Define requirements and user stories for data ingestion, transformation, and quality processes.
Work closely with engineering teams to integrate data from multiple systems, including CRM, broker platforms, financial systems, and external data providers.
Support platform development using tools such as Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
Insights, Analytics & AI Enablement
Enable business stakeholders and leadership with key insights, dashboards, analytics products, and predictive models.
Partner with analytics teams to develop actionable dashboards, KPIs, and self‑service reporting tools.
Collaborate with data teams to support machine learning models, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation solutions.
Drive adoption of analytics tools and AI capabilities across business units.
Product Delivery & Agile Leadership
Translate business needs into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
Monitor product performance, user adoption, and delivered value for data and AI products.
Ensure strong data governance, data quality, privacy, and compliance standards across all data assets.
Use your skills to make an impact Required Experience
5+ years in Product Owner, Product Management, or similar roles.
Demonstrated experience delivering data platforms, analytics solutions, or AI‑driven products.
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data pipelines.
Experience identifying, integrating, and managing multiple enterprise data sources.
Hands‑on experience working with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, or reporting initiatives.
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Travel While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40
Pay Range $94,900 - $130,500 per year
