Director of Operations

at UNRL is the strategic right‑hand to the President, driving operational excellence and execution of the company’s growth agenda. This role is responsible for company process optimization, cross‑functional alignment, and seamless collaboration across all departments. The ideal leader combines sharp analytical/problem‑solving skills with exceptional leadership, communication, and influence to turn high‑level priorities into fast, actionable results—often under tight timelines and in ambiguous situations. Strategic Leadership & Planning Develop, implement, and continuously refine operational strategies, policies, and processes that align with company objectives, drive long‑term growth, profitability, and scalability across retail, eCommerce, and supply chain functions. Collaborate with C‑suite executives and department leaders to translate business goals into actionable operational plans, including resource allocation, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data and trends, identify bottlenecks or risks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain service levels. Champion innovation in operational tools, technologies, and workflows (e.g., automation, ERP integration) to improve customer experience, reduce project timelines, and enhance competitiveness. Drive data‑informed decision‑making through operational analytics, reporting, and benchmarking to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic adjustments. Lead high‑impact projects and strategic initiatives from conception through execution, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely delivery of results. Team & Resource Management Build, lead, and mentor high‑performing operations teams, including hiring, training, performance management, succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Interface with finance and leadership team to oversee budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring initiatives are cost‑effective and aligned with company objectives. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration that reflects UNRL’s Core Values; lead by example to instill communication, problem‑solving, and results‑oriented behaviors. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, or business management, ideally in consumer goods, retail, or lifestyle brands. Demonstrated success in cross‑functional leadership, driving operational improvements, and executing strategic initiatives. Experience working closely with executive leadership, including Presidents, CEOs, or other C‑level executives. Ability to lead transformational projects, process improvements, or organizational change initiatives. Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operational demands. Exceptional judgment and the ability to make timely decisions in ambiguous or high‑pressure situations. Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive mindset with a focus on problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
