---# Childcare Director - Newnan, GAReference ID : 177796Location : Newnan, GACategory : NoneJob Type : Full Time---## **Description**### **Summary**As the Director of our childcare facility, you will be responsible for the effective operation and safe learning environment of the childcare center. You will oversee daily operations of the center with up to 150 children and 18(+) employees, ensuring State guidelines are followed.### **Duties**Guide/direct, monitor and supervise the staff and children within the centerMaintain and foster positive and constructive interaction with students and parentsSupervise all activities to ensure proper participation and safetyEnsure and assist with maintaining a safe and clean environmentAssist with other duties as needed: may include food preparation oversight, answering the phone, responding to parent questions, and opening and closing the schoolMaintain an ongoing knowledge of State guidelines for Daycare centers.Ensure all employee training requirements are up to dateParticipate in student/parent toursMaintain constant supervision of students in care; attend to students in distressAssist teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activitiesYou will also have a back-office and corporate support to guide you and assist you with your tasks### **Requirements**40 Hour Directors Course Certification or CDA or Childcare Director Requirement as required by State of GeorgiaExperience at the front desk (Director/Assistant Director, Office Manager etc) of a licensed childcare facilityPrevious Supervisory experience or experience providing work directionMust have, or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid and any other training required by regulatory agenciesKnowledge of child care licensing rules and regulationsKnowledge of early childhood education curriculumAll child care positions in the State of Georgia require daycare workers to have a current, satisfactory background check on file with DecalFlexible/adaptable to constant changeAbility to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiativeInitiative to develop and maintain communication and build relationships with parents and others### **Nice To Haves**Directors Course CertificationCertification or Degree in Early Childhood Education or other related fieldKnowledge of Bright from the Start regulations for daycare and GA Pre-k program, as well as Quality Rated.### **Benefits**Pay rate based on experience, education and credentialsMonday to FridayPaid TrainingPaid Time OffHoliday PayChildcare DiscountsBonus PayOur Company is based out of Alpharetta, GA operating 18 Childcare Centers around Metro Atlanta
