About the role We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who actively participates in tech communities (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Discord, etc.) and is both a strategist and hands‑on executor. You will speak to technical audiences authentically, use AI and innovative tools to create, distribute, and amplify content, and build real engagement within the community.
What you will do
Own and execute social media strategy across key platforms (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Discord + niche IT communities)
Build and grow presence within relevant ecosystems and actively engage with tech communities
Create, adapt, and distribute content tailored to different audiences (developers, tech leaders, decision‑makers)
Plan and manage content calendars, experimenting with new formats and unconventional approaches
Stay on‑top of trends in IT communities and react in real‑time
Analyze performance (engagement, reach, conversions) and continuously optimize activities
Collaborate closely with marketing, tech, and sales teams to align with business goals
Translate business objectives into meaningful, engaging social communication
Develop and execute personal brand strategies for key experts (including content, ghostwriting, and growth on X)
Process & system ownership
Coordinate content approvals with technical experts and stakeholders
Build reusable templates and formats (with designers, but independently when needed)
Ensure brand consistency across all channels
Implement and manage automation tools (scheduling, workflows, content pipelines)
Improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of social media operations
Monitor key topics, hashtags, and competitors, with clear response playbooks
Create prompt templates and reusable AI workflows for recurring content
Define internal guidelines for AI usage (where it helps, where it’s off‑limits, how to stay transparent)
Performance & growth
Monitor trends in IT communities and react in real‑time
Analyze performance (engagement, reach, conversions) and optimize
Experiment with formats, tools, and unconventional approaches
Use AI‑powered tools for advanced social listening and trend detection beyond traditional dashboards
Collaborate with marketing, tech, and sales teams
Translate business goals into engaging social content
Turn internal insights into compelling, shareable posts
Support technical experts in building authentic presence and engagement on X
What we expect in general
Proven experience in social media (strategy + execution)
Experience in the IT/tech industry (must‑have)
Strong understanding of standard and niche platforms (Reddit, Discord, communities)
Strong sense of audience segmentation and communication tone
Ability to balance brand voice with community authenticity
Experience building or improving content workflows and processes
Understanding of visual communication and template‑based content creation
Ability to ensure brand consistency without relying fully on a designer
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Analytical mindset (metrics, KPIs, optimization)
Active and authentic social media user
Confidence in working with internal clients (e.g., developers, experts)
Creativity and openness to experimentation
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Ability to evaluate AI‑generated content and avoid low‑quality “AI slop”
Hands‑on experience with AI tools (LLMs, image generators) in content workflows
Nice to have
Experience with social media automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Buffer, Sprout, Notion, Zapier, etc.)
Experience in employer branding or developer marketing
Experience building or managing online communities
Experience building custom AI workflows for content (prompt libraries, API integrations, automated pipelines)
