IDD Director
Almost Family, LLC., Medford, OR, United States
About Almost Family
Almost Family is a community‑based provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Southern Oregon. We believe every person deserves the support, dignity, and opportunity to live life on their own terms. Our team delivers in‑home support services, attendant care, respite, and day support activities (DSA) to individuals and families across Oregon and are expanding into Medford and other parts of Southern Oregon.
The Opportunity This is a ground‑floor opportunity. As our first hire in Medford, you’ll be the one who builds Almost Family’s presence in the community. You will be developing referral relationships, launching services, and setting the standard for how we operate in the region. You won’t be doing it alone: you’ll have the full backing of our established Klamath Falls office, including operational support, experienced leadership, and proven systems to build from.
If you’re energized by the idea of building something, not just running something, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain referral partnerships with the counties, brokerages, service coordinators, families, and community organizations to grow census across in‑home support, attendant care, respite, and DSA services
Represent Almost Family at community events, provider meetings, and stakeholder forums throughout the Medford area
Establish Almost Family’s reputation as a trusted, high‑quality IDD provider in the region
Oversee individual support plans and ensure all services are person‑centered, goal‑oriented, and high quality
Monitor client outcomes and respond to individual and family concerns with urgency and care
Ensure full compliance with Oregon DHS/OHA licensing requirements, documentation standards, and agency policies
Lead and prepare for licensing reviews, audits, and required state reporting
Recruit, onboard, supervise, and develop direct support professionals and program coordinators as the Medford team grows
Foster a team culture built on accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement
Manage program budgets and contribute to the financial sustainability of Medford operations
What You Bring
3–5 years of experience in IDD services, human services, or a related field, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Working knowledge of Oregon’s IDD service system, including DHS/OHA and ODDS program requirements
Proven ability to build community relationships and grow program referrals
A self‑starter mentality, comfortable operating with autonomy while collaborating with a support team
Strong written and verbal communication skills with individuals, families, staff, and external partners
Highly organized with the ability to manage compliance timelines, documentation, and multiple priorities simultaneously
A genuine commitment to person‑centered care and individual self‑determination
Education A degree in social work, psychology, education, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus — but not required. Relevant experience and a demonstrated track record of results matter most to us.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate: $26–$30/hour, commensurate with experience
Performance‑based bonus tied to program growth and quality outcomes
Health, dental, and vision benefits
Paid time off and holiday pay
Mileage reimbursement
Meaningful, mission‑driven work with the support of an experienced regional team
Almost Family is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and the individuals we serve.
