What You'll Do We are looking for a detail-oriented Portfolio Operations Specialist to join our Portfolio Operations team. In this role, you will support the Portfolio Operations Manager who is responsible to the gap between IT and disciplined financial oversight. The ideal candidate possesses an accounting and financial analysis background, understands contracts and purchasing, and is capable of translating complex operational information into budgets and financial forecasts.

Under general supervision of a Portfolio Operations Manager and in conjunction with the Portfolio Operations Manager, lead and direct activities related to one or more Portfolio functions while also building expertise in other functions.

Functional Areas

Capital and Operating budgets

Financial Analysis of spend including building budgets and forecasts

Contract management including purchasing

Accounting tasks such as accrual management

Estimating for business cases

Minimum Position Qualifications

Background in Accounting and/or Financial Analysis

3-7 years of overall experience

Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget

Proven problem solving and organizational skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization

Should be able to participate in other functionally related activities

Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and Co-pilot / Gemini

A mindset of driving data driven decisions and support for other stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Tracking and reporting on Capital and Opex spend

Performing financial analysis, forecasts and measuring spend to budget

Financial accounting responsibilities including accrual management

Procurement including contract administration, purchase order and invoice management

Influence the culture of continuous improvement of delivery methodologies

Set target deadlines and clear predictability and monitor and summarize progress of tasks
