Job Description
The Salesforce and Solutions Administrator 2 position exists to maintain, enhance, optimize, and drive innovation within our Salesforce platform and other enterprise applications. This position collaborates closely with a diverse team of Salesforce administrators, software engineers and business stakeholders to understand business needs and processes, design elegant solutions, and implement enhancements and change management that drives efficiency, productivity, and data accuracy. Within that context, the Salesforce and Solutions Administrator 2 position will also configure, maintain, manage, and streamline the functionality, integrations, and enhancements of our enterprise application ecosystem.
All Salesforce and Solutions Administrators are responsible for performing the responsibilities below. The Salesforce and Solutions Administrator 2 is expected to have an intermediate understanding of and ability to perform those responsibilities and to demonstrate leadership qualities while doing so.
Knowledge of and ability to work within the breadth of the Salesforce product portfolio including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud, ASL, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalization, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, etc.
Collaborates with Agile Solutions Architects and other Salesforce and Solutions administrators to understand and anticipate business needs and implement innovative technical solutions within Salesforce to meet those objectives.
Configures, customizes, maintains, and supports Salesforce to meet ever evolving needs by using Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, reports, etc.
Oversees user and license management including new user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, sharing rules, etc.
Manages Salesforce integrated applications including Chargent, Genesys, Form Assembly, Melissa Data, etc.
Enterprise Applications Administration & Solution Design:
Administers other enterprise applications including ERPs, workflow management, events management, transactional systems, etc.
Designs solutions for, configures, implements, integrates, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, optimizes, and supports enterprise applications.
Implements business process redesign and creates associated documentation in support of new or changing technology.
Assists with the selection and retirement of applications or application functionality to maximize benefit to the ministry.
Develops, applies, maintains, and communicates the ministry’s software architecture and process standards.
Quality Assurance & Data Stewardship
Develops, executes, and ensures adherence to automated test plans and quality control standards; evaluates results; and educates stakeholders.
Recommends and implements data quality process enhancements, maintains data dictionaries, and supports production data issues.
Training and Support:
Provides user support and offers expert guidance to users on Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
Identifies training needs and trains application users.
Ensures that knowledge gained from vendors and contractors is effectively documented for future re-use.
Maintains expertise in supported business areas and the application functionality (new, changed and future) needed to support them.
Works collaboratively with others on a cross-functional, product-oriented Agile team.
Follows and supports the department’s chosen Agile methodology.
Participates in Agile ceremonies, such as stand-ups and retrospectives, to contribute to team goals.
Coaches and mentors other Salesforce and Solutions Administrators, as appropriate.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides after-hours and weekend on-call support when necessary.
Participates in on-going training opportunities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Experience:
2-3 years of experience with Salesforce, plus a Salesforce Administrator certification.
3-5 years of experience in system and application support or as a power user.
The Salesforce and Solutions Administrator 2 is expected to have intermediate qualifications in the following:
Experience with systems supporting complex enterprise-wide business processes, including the Salesforce suite of products, Microsoft GP, Genesys, Ping, Doclink, SQL and SOQL, etc.
Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
Experience with Salesforce and other release processes, including DevOps concepts and the use of Github and related tools.
Experience documenting information systems architecture, as well as requirements and use cases.
Experience with concepts of data governance, data integrity management, data structures, and data quality.
Experience with creation, review, and execution of automated test cases as well as testing methodologies.
Experience in mentoring others in an enterprise application and/or software development environment.
Knowledge of the Agile mindset and methodologies.
Experience with business process creation or systems analysis desired.
