Job Summary The Cloud Architect is a strategic security advisor and hands‑on technical leader responsible for ensuring that SERVPRO's multi‑cloud environment is secure, resilient, and compliant by design. This role drives secure architecture patterns across AWS (primary), with supporting workloads in Azure and Google Cloud. Working closely with Cloud Operations, Security, DevSecOps, Development teams, Infrastructure, and the Architecture Review Board (ARB), the Cloud Architect establishes and enforces security best practices, threat‑aware design principles, and cloud governance standards. This position plays a critical role in validating that all cloud solutions adhere to SERVPRO's security, compliance, cost optimization, and operational sustainability requirements.

In addition to advisory responsibilities, the Cloud Architect directly contributes to the design and implementation of Cloud Operations capabilities, including security‑focused observability, automated guardrails, incident response readiness, disaster recovery architecture, and continuous cost and risk governance.

You will

Cloud Security Guidance : Recommend AWS, Azure, and GCP native security controls, logging patterns, encryption strategies, and IAM models; collaborate with Security Team on detection and response; participate in threat modeling and risk assessments; help ensure alignment to SOC 2, NIST, and internal baselines.

Cloud Operations Architecture—Implementation & Support : Assist in designing, building, and supporting core Cloud Operations capabilities including monitoring, alerting, log pipelines, configuration baselines, policy‑as‑code, and automated remediation; support major incident response and complex troubleshooting.

DevSecOps & CI/CD Collaboration : Advise on integrating operational and security guardrails into CI/CD workflows for infrastructure and applications; support policy‑as‑code in pipelines.

Reliability, Performance & Availability : Recommend and help implement multi‑AZ/region resiliency patterns, SLOs/error budgets, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

Cost & Capacity Management : Help implement tagging standards, cost dashboards, rightsizing automation, and spend reviews with an AWS‑first approach.

Disaster Recovery & Continuity : Support the design and implementation of DR architectures, backups, failover testing, and resilience improvements.

Identity, Access & Governance : Recommend least‑privilege IAM patterns, separation of duties, and multi‑account guardrails; collaborate with Governance & Compliance for control mapping and audits.

Cloud Architecture & Advisory (ARB Collaboration) : Serve as an advisor on secure, scalable, and supportable cloud architecture patterns; participate in ARB reviews and support shared decisions; contribute to reference architectures, guardrails, and reusable patterns.

Professional Behaviors : Foster an innovative, collaborative, and inclusive team‑oriented environment; communicate clearly and respectfully; exemplify SERVPRO core values.

Complete other duties and functions as requested by leadership.

You have

Minimum

8+ years of hands‑on cloud experience —primarily AWS with exposure to Azure and Google Cloud.

Experience designing/supporting cloud operations, monitoring/observability, automation, and cloud security capabilities.

Strong understanding of AWS IAM, networking, encryption, logging/monitoring, and governance; familiarity with Azure/GCP equivalents.

Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD workflows, and container platforms (EKS/Docker).

Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.

Working knowledge of SIEM/SOAR integrations, SRE principles, and cloud cost‑optimization.

Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across multiple teams.

Strong analytical and communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.

Ability to read, write, and speak the English language professionally.
