About the Role
The Director of Retail Banking is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the Bank’s consumer growth strategy across branch operations, digital delivery, deposit growth, and customer experience. This role goes beyond traditional branch oversight and focuses on scaling retail banking as a core growth engine while ensuring strong operational discipline, regulatory alignment, and measurable performance outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead retail strategy across branches and digital channels
Drive deposit growth, customer acquisition, and product adoption
Oversee branch performance, KPIs, and operational consistency
Build a scalable retail operating model focused on outcomes and accountability
Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Operations, IT, Finance, and Commercial teams
Lead key initiatives including onboarding, digital expansion, and product strategy
Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and strong control execution
Develop and lead high-performing retail leadership teams
Provide executive and Board-level reporting and insights
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of retail banking experience, including multi-branch or enterprise leadership
Strong knowledge of retail operations, deposit products, and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to drive growth while maintaining compliance and control discipli Experience building scalable operating and performance frameworks
Strong leadership presence with ability to influence at the executive level
High level of judgment, discretion, and accountability
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of progressive retail banking experience
5+ years in senior leadership overseeing multiple markets or functions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications
Experience in digital banking transformation or multi-channel delivery environments
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel between branch locations
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass background and credit check
Adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements
This role requires regular in-person presence within a branch environment to effectively lead day-to-day operations and support retail teams
Technology & Communication Requirement
Active participation in virtual meetings and use of Bank-approved systems (Teams, Outlook, MFA)
Ability to maintain functioning audio/video capability for meetings and training
