Position Overview The Principal, Process Management & Continuous Improvement serves as the enterprise leader for process excellence, continuous improvement, and the integration of change across business operations, IT, and corporate functions. This role applies structured project management and change management disciplines to analyze current processes, design improved solutions, and drive successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working. The Principal treats change as a project—or a defined workstream within larger initiatives—ensuring that process improvements are implemented effectively; stakeholders are engaged, and benefits are realized. The ideal candidate is both analytically strong and people‑focused, able to translate operational insight into sustainable change. This role identifies, prioritizes, and drives improvements to how the organization operates, ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, and sustainable. In partnership with all organizational functional groups and PMO, the Principal ensures that process and behavior changes associated with projects, operational changes, and RCA follow‑up actions are executed with discipline and consistency.

Responsibilities

Analyze current‑state processes using data, stakeholder input, and workflow mapping techniques.

Identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement across Operations, IT, and business functions.

Design future‑state processes that improve efficiency, quality, reliability, and scalability.

Document process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting artifacts.

Lead enterprise‑wide continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, reliability, and scalability.

Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities across Operations, IT, and corporate functions.

Apply structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA) to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Establish and maintain a continuous improvement roadmap aligned with organizational priorities.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

Define, document, and maintain enterprise process standards, workflows, and SOPs.

Ensure consistency and standardization of key operational and business processes across functions.

Implement process governance practices to ensure sustainability and compliance.

Continuously evaluate and refine processes based on performance data, feedback, and operational needs.

Collaborate with the Project Manager of Cause Analysis and Change Management to ensure RCA findings are translated into actionable process improvements and sustainable solutions.

Maintain visibility into recurring issues and systemic risks to inform improvement priorities.

Integrate lessons learned into process documentation, standards, and training.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for process improvement and change enablement across the PMO.

Consult with project and program managers to ensure process and behavior changes are effectively embedded within their initiatives.

Provide guidance on stakeholder engagement, adoption strategies, and process implementation approaches.

Partner with PMO leadership to elevate organizational capability in process and change execution.

Lead change initiatives as standalone projects or as defined workstreams within larger programs.

Develop and execute change management plans, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training support, and adoption metrics.

Coordinate change activities with PMO, IT, Operations, and Change Management governance bodies.

Ensure process and technology changes are understood, adopted, and embedded into day‑to‑day operations.

Track change risks, resistance, and mitigation actions throughout the project lifecycle.

Capture lessons learned and contribute to organizational knowledge repositories.

Reinforce accountability for sustaining improvements post‑implementation.

Act as a central connector across Operations, IT, PMO, and business functions for improvement initiatives.

Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to align on process design, improvements, and implementation plans.

Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.

Promote alignment, transparency, and shared accountability across teams.

Support the development of a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.

Collaborate with the Director of Training & Development to develop and deliver training on process management, continuous improvement, and change practices.

Promote a "learn, don't blame" culture by leveraging RCA insights and continuous improvement principles.

Reinforce process discipline and operational excellence across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

8+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, continuous improvement, or program management.

Proven experience leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives in complex environments, managing process and change initiatives as projects.

Excellent process mapping, analysis, and documentation skills.

Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and operational performance management.

Working knowledge of change management principles and adoption strategies.

Ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions without direct authority.

Strong facilitation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or MBA.

PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.

Change Management certification (Prosci, ACMP, or equivalent).

Experience in data center, critical infrastructure, or high‑reliability environments.

Familiarity with enterprise tools (Planview, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Jira, CMMS, etc.).
