Position Overview The Graphic Designer is a full-time, remote/hybrid position. Serves as the university’s lead visual strategist and sole designer (excluding athletics), responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing cohesive graphic branding across print and digital materials for diverse campus offices. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate goals into compelling, on‑brand designs that support institutional priorities. Ensure all digital deliverables meet current WCAG accessibility standards, incorporating inclusive design practices. Manage projects from concept through production, balancing multiple priorities while upholding quality, consistency, and timely delivery across all university communications. Responsibilities & Tasks Develop creative print and digital solutions (design and/or strategies) to achieve the goals of constituent groups across campus (Enrollment, Advancement, Alumni offices among them) while adhering to the established parameters in the university’s brand book and positively advancing the university’s image. (80%) Coordinate prospective student print needs in collaboration with admissions staff in the Enrollment Office. (15%) Other duties as assigned. (5%) Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in design, visual arts, communications, or related field. 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design in a marketing, communications or events office or at a professional creative agency. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A strong grasp of WCAG and PDF accessibility standards and how to incorporate them into design. An understanding of the importance of brand consistency and enforcing standards across campus. Strong client management skills with the ability to handle a wide range of issues with tact and diplomacy. Ability to manage complex, integrated creative projects, timelines, and budgets. Significant design experience in the areas of promotion, branding, etc. Proficiency with MS Office and the full Adobe suite of design software. Expert knowledge of production requirements for print and digital environments. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through. A self‑starter who is able to coordinate a number of projects concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and nurture effective working relationships with associates, colleagues, students and members of the University staff. Maintain professionalism when dealing with all staff and other customers while fostering positive working relationships.
