ENIVORNMENTAL GRAPHIC DESIGNER We are seeking an experienced environmental graphic designer with proven talent for creative thinking and design execution. The role will require the ability to design a project from initial client discovery through final design concept, focusing on environmental graphics (décor) while supporting and collaborating with interior design and architectural design development teams. As a member of an all‑professional team and design firm offering comprehensive design services for Retail, Supermarket, Hospitality, and Hospitality projects. GENERAL DUTIES Design for retail and hospitality interiors projects, with a focus on environmental graphic design, and also include select architectural interiors design, from conception through final design delivery. Develop creative direction with client and internal team Lead the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas, actively participate in creative briefings, develop & execute creative concepts Present and advocate for creative design with clients, stakeholders and team Work collaboratively across departments on all assigned projects RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate on creative direction with internal team and client Lead selection of project colorways, materials and finishes, and décor messaging and visual patterns/graphics/typography Concept graphic elements and interiors design within Adobe Illustrator or 3d modeling software, typically SketchUp Develop décor decks, documenting environmental graphic treatments and creating production artwork Understand, use, and review architectural plans, elevations and details Present and advocate for creative design with clients, stakeholders and team Work collaboratively across departments on all assigned projects SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED Adobe InDesign Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Hot Doors Cad Tools SketchUp Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or alternative 3D software programs is beneficial EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor in Graphic Design, Architecture, or similar 3-5 years experience in Graphic Design industry or similar Job Type: Full‑time Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Schedule 9/80 Work Schedule Work Location In‑Person or Remote SPECIFIC DUTIES Visual Research and Development Direction based on conceptual, aesthetic, demographic, historical, architectural, cultural or other factors to inform the project design and create visual positioning presentations. Leads and collaboratively develops décor Visual Positioning and Décor Concept Designs. Collaborative Design Engagement Partner with the wider design team providing insight, knowledge, and design ideas and feedback regarding the design and development of Architectural Interiors and Décor Design. Interior Architectural Design and Décor/Environmental Graphics Design Work performed with consistent attention to various factors, including but not limited to client’s brand and values, architectural preferences, structural design principles, materials and finishes, budget parameters, space optimization planning, layout and selection of furnishings, art, equipment, color schemes, décor design, and construction or development schedules. Design scope encompasses all aspects of commercial interior including architectural elements and specialized interior spaces, includes new and remodel projects. Provide logical and informed design input, including sketches, 3D modeling, rendered vignettes, and 2D and 3D studies. Provides design expertise, detailing and project coordination. Uses combination of 3D modelling software, computer graphics, and freehand work to generate various design documents. Material & Finish Selection Create the selection of initial, alternative and final materials and finishes for review and recommendation. Design Development Collaboration Consults with DD team to describe the concept documents and assist them verbally in the accurate incorporation of the design intent into drawings and other deliverables to client. Collaboration with Production Services Upon occasion, may provide detailing and documentation expertise to DLE Production Services as needed based on DLE project scope, workload and resources. Work with the DLE décor fabrication team to ensure décor design intent is carried through from concept to reality.
