Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the LoopRoots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia. Our key initiatives include: LoopConnect – a ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration. LoopTalk – a HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children. LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership – we collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services. All of our programs are offered without discrimination to build a truly supportive ecosystem for families across the U.S. Organization: LoopRoots Foundation Location: Remote Commitment: Flexible | 20‑25 hours Position Overview The LoopRoots Foundation is launching a mission‑driven podcast focused on storytelling, resilience, reentry journeys, and the impact of incarceration on families. We are seeking a skilled Podcast Producer & Host to lead the development, guest sourcing, interview process, and production of a 6‑episode pilot series. This role is ideal for someone with experience in journalism, communications, nonprofit storytelling, or podcast production who understands how to handle sensitive topics with professionalism and care. Responsibilities Develop podcast concept and episode outlines aligned with our mission. Source, vet, and pre‑interview potential guests. Conduct thoughtful, nonpartisan interviews. Coordinate recording and basic production workflow. Ensure all guests complete release forms prior to recording. Collaborate on editing, publishing, and distribution strategy. Repurpose episodes into short‑form content for social media. Qualifications Prior podcast production or hosting experience (samples required). Strong interview and storytelling skills. Experience discussing sensitive or justice‑related topics preferred. Understanding of nonprofit and 501(c)(3) compliance (nonpartisan approach required). Organized, self‑directed, and reliable. Preferred But Not Required Journalism or communications background. Experience working with mission‑driven organizations. Basic audio editing skills.
