Position Overview Our client is seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of Artificial Intelligence to lead the development and execution of our enterprise-wide AI strategy. This role will be instrumental in scaling our AI capabilities across guest engagement, operations, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a fast adopter of emerging technologies, a strategic thinker, and a collaborative leader with the potential to grow into future executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities Develop and lead our client’s AI strategy in alignment with business goals and digital transformation initiatives. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered guest experiences, including interactive exhibits, multilingual kiosks, and personalization engines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Attractions, Marketing, Operations) to identify and implement AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Evaluate and integrate AI technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, machine learning (ML), and generative AI into our client’s attractions and backend systems. Manage vendor relationships and partnerships with AI solution providers (e.g., VUIX AI, Immersive Arts). Build and lead a high-performing AI and data science team; mentor junior talent and foster a culture of innovation. Establish governance, ethical standards, and data privacy protocols for AI initiatives. Report directly to the CIO and contribute to long-term technology planning and leadership succession.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Science degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic role. Proven track record of deploying AI solutions in customer-facing or operational environments. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Foundry and related AI/ML services (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services). Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), data pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure). Experience with conversational AI, recommendation systems, or immersive technologies (AR/VR) is highly desirable. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Passion for storytelling, entertainment, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
Preferred Attributes Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and experimentation. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value. Interest in growing into a broader technology leadership role (e.g., future CIO track).
