Position Summary

As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee in our fast‑paced environment, you will use your hard‑earned degree to run a business and quickly solve problems for our customers – who will depend on you to achieve success. This position will report to our Birmingham Downtown location.

Major Responsibilities
Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts, including many Fortune 500 companies.
Manage our large inventory of world‑class vehicles, balancing fleet productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced workspace.
Generate new business leads and foster existing customer relationships.
Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferred concentration in Business or Marketing.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Internship or related work experience in a customer‑facing role preferred.
Results‑oriented, attention to detail and good time‑management skills.
Valid driver’s license required; willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26‑ft box truck.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
Position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and requires a current driver qualification file, an annual MVR check, a DOT physical, Safety Performance History, and (for CDL holders) a DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
Willingness to travel within the district, work the required schedule and location, complete the application, undergo background investigation and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
Read, communicate verbally or in written form, remember and analyze information.
Stand, walk and sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel and reach; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus.
