Description HSB is seeking a business minded southwest Regional Director Business Services to lead and grow a multi-disciplinary region within the United States for a nationally recognized Authorized Inspection Agency.
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be located in the Southwest United States but we are open to considering other locations.
This role is accountable for overall regional performance, to include P&L ownership, workforce planning, and client relationship management across all inspections services, including ASME BP&V, Nuclear programs, International Codes, ISO, and Third Party Inspections. The Regional Director Business Services will partner with OEMs, utilities, and industrial clients to deliver compliant, high-quality inspection services while driving disciplined and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational leadership and commercial acumen, with experience managing distributed technical teams. The preferred candidate will excel working in regulated environments and show a track record of balancing client’s needs, resource allocation, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the regional team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Manage a team of supervisors and inspectors, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure effective performance
Develop and implement regional business plans, including sales strategies, client management, and marketing initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ASME, NBIC, International Codes, ISO, and Nuclear programs
Oversee contract management, including negotiation, review, and execution of contracts with clients
Manage client relationships, including conventional and nuclear utility clients, to drive business growth and retention
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive-level leaders, to ensure alignment and effective communication
Analyze and interpret operational data to inform business decisions and drive process improvements
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure effective resource allocation
Scope of Work
The Regional Director Business Services will be responsible for managing a regional team, including supervisors and inspectors, with a span of control that ensures leadership effectiveness
The role will require travel as needed to support the growth of the region
The Director will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the region including meetings, financial management, personnel management, sales/client visits, and marketing events
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing remote service delivery teams
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing customer relations with industry experience to include Utilities, pressure equipment OEMs, and Repair Organizations
Experience managing a P&L is a plus
Experience with contract management, negotiation, and execution is preferred
Proven track record of leadership and management experience, including remote team management and development
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to interpret operational data and inform business decisions
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including ASME, NBIC, International Codes, ISO, and Nuclear programs
High School Diploma required
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
