Job Description Position Overview The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic market expansion across a multi‑state territory in the Eastern U.S. This role leads territory development through direct sales, channel management, and partner enablement within the hardware and software manufacturing ecosystem (cloud experience preferred).

The RSM will develop and execute a regional business strategy that expands market share, strengthens partner performance, and increases end‑user adoption.

Key Responsibilities Territory Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan

Drive new business acquisition while expanding existing accounts

Identify and penetrate high‑value vertical markets

Achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets

Channel & Partner Management

Recruit, develop, and manage manufacturer representatives

Strengthen reseller and technology partner relationships

Conduct joint business planning and performance reviews

Enable partners through training, field engagement, and co‑selling

Direct Sales & End‑User Engagement

Build relationships with enterprise and strategic end users

Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting to close

Deliver executive‑level presentations and solution positioning

Coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure successful deployments

Market Intelligence & Reporting

Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management

Monitor competitive landscape and regional market dynamics

Deliver regular performance updates and strategic insights to leadership

Qualifications

5+ years of sales experience in hardware/software manufacturing (cloud‑based solutions preferred)

Proven success managing multi‑state territories

Strong background in channel sales and partner development

Experience working with manufacturer reps and reseller networks

Demonstrated ability to close complex B2B deals

Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence

Willingness to travel within assigned region

Success Profile The ideal candidate is a self‑driven territory builder who combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution. They are equally comfortable managing channel partners, engaging directly with end users, and representing the company at the executive level.
