Influencer Director Job at McCANN New York in New York

McCANN New York, New York, NY, United States

We are looking for an Influencer Director to join our team here in NYC. This person is social and influencer first with deep understanding of culture and creativity. With an uncanny ability to translate strategy and creative ideas into influencer strategy and activations. Your role is about creating extraordinary creative work that is social and influencer first.

Responsibilities

Provide creatives with a clearly defined, inspiring brief that contains the relevant information on the brand, the audience, content platforms and social and influencer strategy to enable them to develop creative ideas.

Decode insights from various data sources, including culture, influencers, influencer behaviors, audience behaviors, content trends, campaign performance and market intelligence.

Continuously fine-tune and adapt strategies based on emerging trends, consumer insight and performance data.

When thinking about influencer, be able to translate client objectives and creative into effective casting criteria and approaches, bringing innovative casting/ideas/strategies to bear.

Be able to bring strategies to life with recommended casting lists using a tool like CreatorIQ.

Have experience in writing consumer journeys for the social/influencer/content world.

Be an expert in McCann’s strategic toolkit, campaign dashboard, and tech stack, and be committed to learning and each component of our connected, tech‑backed system (example tools include CreatorIQ, Pulsar Social Listening, GWI, etc).

Oversee influencer strategies and activations as they move through contracting and go live. You won’t be expected to be hands on but having a good understanding of the full end‑to‑end is important to be able to support and trouble‑shoot for more junior team members.

Keep abreast of current projects in development; collaborate with other Account Directors and wider team to brainstorm and create opportunities for clients.

Analyze data from our tech and tool stack to craft campaign/program reporting for client.

Spot and recognize critical data points for clients outside of standard reporting templates.
