Assistant To The Director Of Finance & Hr

Brad Stewart with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for an assistant to the director of finance & hr for a local college preparatory school. This role will report to the director of finance & accounting and support both departments by maintaining financial data and managing employee records. This role demands high confidentiality, attention to detail, and proficiency in reconciling financial records and hr support and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Support: Assists with employee onboarding/orientation. Assists with enrollment in insurance and retirements plans. Finance & Payroll Support: Processes accounts payable/receivable, assists with payroll data entry, and ensures financial documentation is accurate. Administrative Coordination: Maintains confidential personnel files, updates hr databases, and prepares or assists with monthly financial reports and annual operating budgets. Compliance: Ensures employee records and financial transactions comply with company policies and regulations in addition to federal and state employment laws. Requirements

Previous administrative experience in either hr or finance, often in high-paced environments. Experience with non-profit accounting and audit prep a plus. Proficiency in quickbooks online, ms office (excel) and payroll software. Strong ethical standards, discretion, and integrity. At least 3 years of experience in hr, finance or accounting; university degree in hr, finance, or accounting is considered a plus.
