REQ-40816Forecast weather conditions and produces and anchors weather reports for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.Reports compelling stories using live shots, stand ups, and use of digital and social media platforms.* Produces weather and news content for reports for all platforms* Writes and delivers weather and news stories in a clear and concise manner* Assists in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating weather and news programming and other content* Responds to breaking news and/or severe weather events and other urgent newsrooms situations as required
Works closely with the news and weather teams* Participates in promotional activities including public appearances* Writes web stories detailing the local forecast and news reports daily* Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites* Performs special projects and other duties as assigned* Shifts include weekends and nights* Valid driver’s license with a good driving recordRequirements & Skills:* Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.* Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.* Flexibility to work any shift.* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.#LI-OnsiteCompensation: 21.00+/hr commensurate with experience and skill level. #J-18808-Ljbffr
