Digital Assets is a strategic priority for Citi, and within the Markets business. We are excited by the potential of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) and Digital Assets to transform the Markets landscape, enabling creation of new products and services for our clients, enabling greater efficiencies in trade processing and settlements, and increasing our ability to optimize risk capital.

The Digital Assets team within Citi Markets is actively developing a number of Digital Asset initiatives that span business/product areas, asset classes and regions. We are a team of innovators, entrepreneurs, strategists, and product managers who are reimagining the future of digital financial markets. We collaborate actively with Citi clients, emerging FinTechs and rapidly digitizing Market Infrastructures in driving this transformation. We have a number of initiatives already live, and many more are in various stages of the innovation funnel.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of various digital assets areas and emerging opportunities to drive strategy

Lead the efforts of the team in key strategic priority areas within the digital assets space

Deepen FinTech and Markets engagement in the area, to surface new partnership opportunities

Collaborate with business & product teams in identifying new opportunities and qualifying them for impact

Drive active development of ongoing programs/ initiatives towards deployment

Represent the firm externally with clients and industry ecosystems to support development of new digital asset solutions

Typical Qualifications

Demonstrated passion and interest in the digital assets and distributed ledgers space

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex projects across multiple time zones and regions

Deep curiosity, a vision for the future of digital financial markets, and boldness to challenge the status quo

A practical understanding of smart contracts, tokens, wallets and key ledger constructs will be helpful

Experience in driving emerging tech innovations and complex transformations within complex and highly regulated environments

5 to 8 years of experience in financial services, securities markets, market infrastructures digital payments, digital assets/crypto, FinTechs, high tech innovation, venture capital and/or related sectors
