PORTER
We are seeking a full-time Porter to join our team at The Dolben Company. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, appearance, and general upkeep of the apartment community, while also providing support to the maintenance team as needed. You will play a key role in preserving the physical integrity of the community and ensuring a quality living environment for our residents.
As a Porter, your primary responsibilities include:
Trash pick-up and cleaning trash areas daily
Sweeping halls, curbs, and common areas regularly
Checking and cleaning handrails, hallway lights, and stairwells on a routine schedule
Power washing stairwells and hosing out hallways periodically
Pulling weeds, raking leaves, watering grounds, and assisting with snow removal as needed
Vacuuming pool and maintaining pool area cleanliness
Checking all bandit signs daily
Delivering newsletters and other fliers to residents as needed
Cleaning clubhouse, apartments, and other common areas
Preserving the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness
Providing residents with outstanding customer service
Assisting and supporting maintenance staff with maintenance and various painting tasks as requested
Showing care and concern for our residents through excellence in service and responsiveness
Operating in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
Working weekends or evenings and being available for on-call after-hours emergencies as needed
What You Bring to Us:
Experience in grounds maintenance, general upkeep, or a related field preferred; 1–2 years of experience preferred
Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair preferred but not required
Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic computer skills and comfort using various software, apps, and computer programs
