About the Barback position The secret ingredient in every single item served in our bars is a pinch of hard work behind the scenes. We’re looking for a Barback to help our Bartenders make every beverage and meal memorable by preparing, setting and maintaining exceptional standards in our outlets. A little taste of your day-to-day Stocking bars with liquor, beer, wine, ice, and supplies by following established procedures. Cleaning beverage equipment, glasses, and service areas; assist Bar Wait Staff and bartenders in clearing tables and cleaning lounge area. Assisting Bartender in the preparation of garnishes and mixes. Performing side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that wait staff stations are clean and maintained throughout shift. Clearing and cleaning tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Cleaning and/or wiping down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary. Responding in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest requests and complaints. Making appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines. What we need from you Previous experience as a Barback. Experience working in a busy bar environment and working to deadlines. Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team. The hourly pay rate for this role is $26.27. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. This is the starting rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
