Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Inspect and test welded surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance welding skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is a plus.
Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Welding certification is preferred but not required.
