We are currently hiring a full-time Brewery Representative in Boston, MA. The territory covers the suburbs of Boston. The ideal candidate will live anywhere in the territory, as far north as Stoneham and Woburn, as far west as Wellesley, Newton, or Walpole, and as far south as Scituate.
Note: Although this position is listed as “working remotely,” our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory.
What You’ll Brew
Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
Identifying major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and developing a plan to establish business with such accounts
Improving conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand
Partnering with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
Conducting waitstaff/bartender educations, beer tastings and evening promotions
Working conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer facing nature of role
May require working weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business
Occasional travel for meetings and trainings
Regular travel within the market to service retailers and wholesalers
What Ingredients You’ll Bring Minimum Qualifications
1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale items frequently
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Level: 8
Salary range: $48,000 to $69,500. The starting salary within this range depends on experience, skills, and location. This position also qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles may include a car reimbursement program.
