Effectively manages assignments and priorities to ensure the fulfillment of projects, tasks, and responsibilities•

Plans and executes leisure activities such as sports, arts and crafts, drama, special events, environmental education, tours, field trips, etc.; participates in teaching one or more leisure activities; may supervise a group of children, including planning activities and administering discipline in a camp situation or after school program•

Staff assigned to nature parks works with an environmental education focus, creates, and updates park displays and exhibits; handles wildlife for educational purposes, and performs general park maintenance**EMERGENCY RESPONSE STATUS**: As a condition of employment, City of Largo employees will be required to work as directed during an undeclared and/or a declared emergency. All employees are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the official job description.•

Some experience in recreation setting or customer service preferred•

**Team Members under the age of 18 will be restricted from the following tasks:**•

High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) required•

Some experience in a recreation setting, customer service, or childcare programs preferred•

Completion of License Board training requirements within one year of hire date**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** •

Have the ability to:◦

take initiative and prioritize tasks40% inside a climate-controlled building; 60% outside, which may include driving. Depending on the assignment, work environments may vary significantly.

**Physical Requirements:** The essential functions of the job require: sitting approximately two (2) hours per day, standing approximately four (4) hours per day, and walking approximately two (2) hours per day. The work often requires bending/stooping, climbing, crawling, fine manipulations, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 15 pounds, lifting/carrying of objects weighing 15 to 44 pounds, and lifting/carrying of objects weighing 45 pounds and over.

**Sensory Requirements:** Hearing: Ability to understand what others are saying in normal conversation in person and on the telephone, and to hear children. Speaking: Ability to communicate orally with others in person and on the telephone Seeing: Ability to see and read computer monitor screens, supervise children, and if assigned, drive and perform tennis court maintenance.

**Driving Requirements**: Staff members under the age of 18 years old are **NOT** permitted to drive. Staff members aged 18 years or older may occasionally drive and must possess a valid Florida Class E Driver's License.

**Technology**: The work requires ability to operate telephones, smartphones, tablets, laminators, photocopiers, printers, desktop and/or laptop computers, calculators, park radios, and all associated software.
