Job Description The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre‑accident condition. The role involves disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles while supporting the company’s commitment to speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers, using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.

Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when other methods are not feasible.

Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.

Remove damaged sections of vehicles and replace them with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.

Replace or repair interior parts as required.

Weld and attach or fit parts into place and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or an agreed‑upon equivalent.

Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair for quality assurance.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Required Skills and Abilities

Read job orders and work independently with minimal supervision.

Collaborate effectively with other repairers within an auto body shop.

Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Proficiency with tools required for the trade.

Other Physical Requirements

Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.

Lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.

Perform tasks that involve bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting.

Compensation Details Hourly Flat Rate: $23.00 - $32.86 USD

Flat Rate Compensation is performance‑based and tied to turned hours. If total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater.

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education, and experience.
