
Assistant Superintendent - Residential High-Rise

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of a residential high‑rise building project in midtown Nashville.
Role Description You will have the opportunity to support oversight of construction operations of all phases on a 26‑story concrete rental tower, including employees, subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget. This project is a 3 tower master‑planned development, and after completion of the initial building, this position will immediately join construction on the second tower.
Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Superintendent with leading sub contractors and trades in daily work, ensuring compliance with project schedule
Oversee assigned project scopes and lead teams to complete given scopes
Support with completion of the building facade, including envelope, and concrete pours
Build working relationships with sub contractors on site and support them to ensure they are equipped with resources required to efficiency completed tasks according to building plans
Work collaboratively with safety personnel to ensure safe work practices and procedures are being followed onsite at all times
Prepare, review, and maintain schedules, support Superintendents in scheduling
Work with the Senior Superintendent and Project Management team to resolve any issues that may arise
Supervise workers onsite; provide feedback to workers, enforce company policy and administer disciplinary measures as required
Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associated work
Skills and Requirements
Experience working on residential concrete construction as a Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, or General Contractor
Experience with building envelopes and concrete/steel stud structures
Ability and proven experience taking projects from start to finish
Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity
Strong communication, integration, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
Dedication to health and safety in the workplace
Superior leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external customers
Results‑oriented with the ability to interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time lines
Possess a valid driver's license
