As a Fine Dining Server at Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro, you’ll act as both a guide and storyteller—connecting guests to the region, the ingredients, and the inspiration behind each dish. You’ll help curate individualized dining experiences through thoughtful pacing, menu knowledge, and genuine guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities Provide polished, attentive, intuitive, and personalized service rooted in genuine Appalachian hospitality Read the table and adapt service style, pacing, and detail to create a dining experience tailored to each guest Guide guests through our seasonally driven Appalachian menu, sharing insight into ingredients, regional influence, and chef-driven techniques Create memorable moments through thoughtful gestures and attention to detail, from first greeting to final farewell Confidently recommend and present curated wine, cocktail, and beverage pairings. Communicate seamlessly with front- and back-of-house teams to ensure a smooth, intuitive flow of service Maintain a refined, well-prepared dining environment that supports a welcoming dining environment
What We’re Looking For Fine dining or upscale service experience—or a strong passion for learning Appalachian cuisine and elevated service standards. A strong communicator who enjoys engaging guests and bringing food, place, and process to life. Strong attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced, high-touch service environment. Dependability, clear communication, and pride in delivering intentional hospitality. A desire to grow a long-term career in hospitality and experiential dining. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a full-time capacity.
