
CLUBHOUSE - KITCHEN STAFF/COOK
City of Ardmore, Ardmore, OK, United States
Under general direction, Kitchen Staff/Cook is responsible for preparing food for guests and assists Kitchen Manager in creating new menu items. This Family Entertainment Center has party rooms/treehouses, arcade area with plush, full commercial kitchen, soft play area, inside and outside dining area, miniature golf, go karts, Water Wars, zip line, challenge course and area for seasonal ice rink.
Responsibilities
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
Operate various kitchen appliances (oven, grill, etc.)
Prepare foods to the specifications of the Kitchen Manager
Assist other cooks during the food assembly process
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor inventory and report to Kitchen Manager
Clean food preparation area as determined by law
Communicate with Kitchen Manager regarding meal service improvements
Provide excellent customer experience through strong customer skills
Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all guests and staff
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED is required
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
Knowledge of using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Experience as a restaurant cook preferred
Certificates and Licenses
Valid Driver’s License

Ability to establish working relationships with all employees and management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to enthusiastically interact with others and work effectively under pressure
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Must be professional internally and externally, energetic, self‑motivated, and motivational with a positive attitude
Possess excellent communication skills
Must display adaptability, flexibility, and general enthusiasm for The Clubhouse
Willingness to learn and adapt to changes or challenges
Applicant must be able to work one of the shifts listed below:
Monday through Thursday
Friday through Sunday
*each shift has the option to work morning/afternoon or late afternoon/evening
THIS JOB HAS A SEASONAL, WEATHER RELATED COMPONENT. THIS COULD IMPACT THE HOURS THE FACILITY IS FULLY OPERATIONAL; THEREFORE, IMPACTING THE NUMBER OF STAFF EMPLOYED AT ANY GIVEN TIME.
Physical Job Requirements
Stand, walk and sit for extended periods.
Lift up to 25 pounds.
Use hands for handling, finger, feel and use tools.
Possibly climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Talk or hear, taste or smell as required.
Work indoors and outdoors; may involve moderate to high noise level.
