As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.00 to $19.00 depending on your skills and experience.
We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 8 – 12 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Provide feedback and communicate with your supervisor as required.
Holiday support: During the lead‑up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, including weekends.
Department resets: Participate in installations, relaying card departments and products, and resetting card sections as notified two weeks in advance. This may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers in the field organization as needed in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday and may climb stairs and step ladders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Physical ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
