Intake Specialist

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role As an Intake Specialist, you will be a key point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in the intake and patient admission process. If you are passionate about providing patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric condition, you would be a great addition to our team.
Training Schedule: This position is remote but requires onsite training for up to 4 weeks at our Northbrook facility.
Hours/Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | Sunday 12:30pm - 8:30pm CT, Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - 9:30pm CT
What You'll Do:
Answer incoming patient and parent phone calls and respond to phone messages in a timely and professional manner
Successfully explain all Compass programs
Schedule appointments for new and existing patients as well as complete screenings for potential patients calling for services
Obtain detailed, confidential patient demographic and insurance information in preparation for intake
Perform data entry of patient information
Perform various administrative tasks such as scanning, emailing, faxing and mailing documents
Who You Are:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
Have previous administrative, customer service, or scheduling experience
Medical/insurance office experience would be a plus
Are able to deal with sensitive patient situations in a compassionate and confidential manner
Are organized and detail-oriented
Enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Can support patients during the following hours: Sunday 12:30pm - 8:30pm CT, Monday - Thursday 1:30pm - 9:30pm CT
Prefer candidates located in Illinois, Maryland, Washington DC, or Virginia
Compensation $19 - $23 USD
