Benchmark Community Bank is seeking an outgoing and service‑oriented Teller to join our team. The Teller leaves a lasting impression and assists our customers with a variety of financial transactions. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A TELLER As a Teller, you cheerfully greet customers as they walk through our branch and serve as the first point of contact. You efficiently process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments, and you maintain a cash drawer with proper controls.
Using your product knowledge, you recommend financial products and services to meet customers’ current and future needs. You count cash, enter information into a computer, comply with check‑cashing guidelines, and look for fraudulent activity.
You take on service opportunities, including new account processing, updating customer and account information, and providing needs‑based solutions. You enjoy being part of a fun, supportive team and feel proud of the service you provide.
Qualifications
1-2 years of previous banking experience, preferred
Excellent relationship‑building skills
Experience working with the public and handling money
Basic math and computer skills
WORK SCHEDULE Full‑time position. Monday‑Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., alternating Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday afternoons, late evenings, and Sundays remain free.
Salary Range $17.00 – $22.60 per hour
