Knife Drop Studios, the production company behind chef and social media star Nick DiGiovanni, is looking to hire a full‑time Assistant Editor to support the creation of engaging, high‑quality long‑form content for Nick’s YouTube channel.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and passionate Assistant Editor with experience supporting video editing workflows for YouTube or digital content.
You should have a strong understanding of editing fundamentals and be comfortable working across multiple projects at once. You’re meticulous with organization, fast with turnaround, and take pride in making the post‑production team function more smoothly and efficiently. Bonus: you have a passion for food and working in the food space.
Who you’ll work with
As an Assistant Editor, you will support Nick DiGiovanni’s editing team and work closely with editors, producers, and videographers to ensure projects move smoothly from ingest through final delivery.
What you’ll bring to the team
1-3+ years of experience in video editing or assistant editing in a professional or creator environment
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (After Effects and Photoshop a plus)
Strong understanding of post‑production workflows, file management, and project organization
Experience ingesting, organizing, syncing, and prepping footage for editors
Ability to manage media, label footage clearly, and maintain clean project structures
Comfortable pulling selects, assembling stringouts, and supporting rough cuts as needed
Basic understanding of sound, color, and export workflows
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask across multiple projects
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and take initiative
Bachelor’s degree in film, media, or a related field preferred
