Summary: The Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in shaping and executing the organization’s internal and external communication strategies. This position is responsible for ensuring consistent, clear, and brand-aligned messaging across all platforms, including digital, print, and multimedia channels. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented communicator with a strong command of writing, editing, and content management, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. This role supports senior leadership by developing press releases, newsletters, social media content, internal announcements, and other communication materials. The Communications Coordinator also collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals, enhances public perception, and supports strategic initiatives. By maintaining media relations, monitoring brand sentiment, and contributing to crisis communication planning, the Coordinator helps strengthen stakeholder engagement and organizational visibility. This role is essential in fostering transparency, driving awareness, and reinforcing the organization’s mission and values. Responsibilities: Develop, write, and edit a wide range of communication materials including press releases, media advisories, newsletters, blog posts, social media content, internal memos, and presentations. Coordinate with marketing, HR, and executive teams to ensure alignment of messaging across all communication channels. Manage and maintain the organization’s content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent delivery of communications. Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, preparing regular reports and insights for leadership. Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies to promote employee engagement and organizational transparency. Assist in the planning and execution of events, webinars, and campaigns, including drafting scripts, coordinating logistics, and managing follow-up communications. Maintain and update the organization’s website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and SEO best practices. Manage relationships with external media, including journalists, influencers, and industry publications. Contribute to crisis communication planning and response, ensuring swift and consistent messaging during sensitive situations. Track and analyse performance metrics for digital content and campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, Hoot suite, or similar platforms. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field. 2–4 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or content management. Proven experience writing and editing for diverse audiences across multiple platforms. Strong understanding of media relations, brand messaging, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), social media management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and consistency in all deliverables. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
