Principal - Real Estate Advisory

We are seeking a highly experienced real estate investment professional to support and lead portfolio strategy, manager research, and client advisory across institutional mandates.
This role requires deep knowledge of
Core and Core‑Plus
real estate strategies, a strong understanding of risk‑adjusted returns, and the ability to translate market insights into clear, actionable portfolio recommendations.
Principal - Real Estate Advisory Responsibilities
Lead top‑down portfolio construction, including pacing analysis, risk assessment, and sector allocation.
Underwrite and evaluate commingled fund opportunities with a focus on Core/Core‑Plus strategies.
Conduct comprehensive manager due diligence, including track record analysis and strategy assessment.
Develop investment memos, fund summaries, and client‑ready materials with a high standard of clarity and precision.
Serve as a trusted advisor to institutional clients, delivering ongoing guidance, reporting, and tailored insights.
Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate modeling, reporting, and data integration across platforms.
Collaborate with senior leadership to support new business opportunities and provide strategic input during prospect discussions.
Mentor and develop junior professionals while helping maintain an inclusive, high‑performance team culture.
Qualifications
Significant real estate investment or manager research experience, ideally across Core and Core‑Plus portfolios.
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including portfolio construction and track record analysis.
Demonstrated investment judgment and familiarity with market trends, risk drivers, and product structures.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly.
Proven experience managing clients, delivering responsive service, and overseeing multiple simultaneous workstreams.
Ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to a dynamic, data‑driven environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experienced private markets professional skilled in real estate portfolio construction, manager due diligence, and investment evaluation across commingled funds and strategic mandates.
Adept at client relationship management, delivering clear insights, and shaping data‑driven portfolio solutions.
Strong communicator with expertise in financial modeling, market analysis, and guiding cross‑functional teams to execute high‑quality, timely deliverables.
Extensive experience in Core/Core‑Plus is required.
