Our client is seeking a strategic and scientifically credible leader to lead a global Bioenhancement R&D organisation and define the future innovation strategy for the function.
Your objectives: As the Head of Bioenhancement R&D, you will be measured against the following objectives:
Define and deliver a clear Bioenhancement and drug delivery R&D strategy aligned with organisational priorities and long term innovation goals.
Build and lead a high performing R&D organisation that accelerates innovation, develops talent, and delivers a robust and prioritised pipeline.
Establish the site as a centre of excellence for Bioenhancement technologies through strong governance, collaboration, and scientific leadership.
What you will do: As the Head of Bioenhancement R&D, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Lead all site level R&D activities and act as the single point of accountability for the centre of excellence.
Define and implement the Bioenhancement and drug delivery R&D strategy in alignment with global research priorities.
Own end to end innovation pipeline governance including prioritisation, milestone management, and long term planning.
Develop, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary scientific teams while strengthening capability and succession planning.
Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to accelerate innovation and support the development of new services and solutions.
Represent the organisation within the global R&D leadership structure and contribute to enterprise wide strategy discussions.
Act as a scientific thought leader by engaging customers, partners, and the wider scientific community through collaboration and industry forums.
What you will bring: These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Head of Bioenhancement R&D:
Extensive leadership experience in Bioenhancement, drug delivery R&D within a pharmaceutical or Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) environment.
Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary R&D organisations and managing complex global innovation pipelines.
Deep scientific expertise in Bioenhancement technologies and pharmaceutical development.
Strong understanding of R&D governance, innovation strategy, and portfolio prioritisation.
Demonstrated ability to align site execution with global strategy while driving organisational transformation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive leaders, customers, and scientific partners.
Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
